Kindergarten Gingerbread Adventure

We have been reading the many versions of the Gingerbread Boy story, including titles such as "The Gingerbread Cowboy" "The Stinky Cheese Man" and "The Runaway Rice Cake."

I mixed 4 batches of gingerbread dough at home and showed the class what ingredients I used.

Isabel rolls out her dough.

Emma cuts out her shape.

The GBMen go into the oven @ 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

The class decorates their own ginger buddy.

Ryan gives his the thumbs up.

Libbey is all smiles.

The class is soooo excited to eat their gingerbread men!

Oh no! The gingerbread men ran away from us in the night!

The children are so disappointed.

We decide to go catch them if we can.....

We go into all the other classrooms asking if they have seen any clues to where the GBM might be.

No luck....

When we return to our class, defeated, we discover a second note!

Yay!! We can eat them at last. Niki decides to eat the brain out first, so it won't know how to run away again : )
