STP 2010

Early in the morning on July 17th, Mike and Dave set out on their greatest adventure to date. Riding their road bikes from Seattle to Portland.

We left the house at 5:45am...

The ride started at Husky Stadium and the guys prepped their bikes for the 204 mile journey.

Gotta get your head in the game...

This was an example of the vans that would haul the biker's gear to their overnight destination. Mike & Dave spent the night on a gym floor at the College of Centralia (about 100 miles into their ride.)

There were 10,400 riders register to do the ride, and many completed it in one day.

They're off... like a dirty shirt in the wash!

Sunday, July 18th ~ Portland

Here comes Mike... I missed the shot of Dave flying past me on his bike.

Ironically we ran into a neighbor, Stephan, who was there to cheer his dad on as well.

The guys picked up their bags.

The bikes were sooooo tired!

Later that evening Lukas took his aggressions toward his retainer out on this poor plastic plate in the parking lot.

After spending the night at a hotel, Dave decided to surprise us with a trip to Voodoo Doughnuts.

Line around the block prevented us from actually purchasing our bacon maple bar. I asked the store owner across the street why VD was so busy. He replied, "Uh, they're open...."
